Hilia Dentra

A beautiful natural forest with mixed vegetation of oak and ash, with remarkable ecological significance and discrete function as a recreation area.

In the place Hilia Dentra (A Thousand Trees) in the forest of Mouries, 4 km north of the village Doirani a beautiful recreation area is built, in the center of a cluster of old oaks aged up to 400 years. The forest, being rare, has been declared as a Natural Monument and along with a small portion of the lake, is among the areas proposed for inclusion in the Network «NATURA 2000». The area offers notable accommodation facilities, as well as dining and recreational ones. A walk around the beautiful villages, Mouries, Platanies, A. Sourmena, Doirani make up for a unique path on the northern border of the country.

St.George's Hill in Kilkis

A valuable green lung for the city of Kilkis, St. George’s Hill facilitates the daily excursions in the summer months, while it offers an attraction for walking, cycling, jogging, as well as relaxation and recreation.
